WordPress to static
We convert WordPress and PHP sites into fast static sites that look identical, keep every URL, and still take enquiries. Contact forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, so bots and spam don't get through.
The problem with WordPress
WordPress runs a huge share of the web, which makes it the first thing attackers look for. A site that just shows pages and takes enquiries is carrying a database, a login page and a stack of plugins it doesn't need, and every one of them has to be kept patched.
Most WordPress security holes are found in plugins and themes, not WordPress itself. Many are built by tiny teams, and some stop getting updates altogether.
Bots try passwords against /wp-admin and xmlrpc.php around the clock. One reused or weak password is all they need.
Every page view runs PHP and queries a database. If there's a flaw anywhere in that chain, anyone on the internet can reach it.
Core, theme, plugins and the PHP version all need updating. Skip a few months and you're exposed. Update everything and something often breaks.
Spam redirects, malware warnings in Google, your email domain blacklisted. Cleaning up takes days, and customers remember the warning page.
Page builders and plugins add weight, and caching plugins add yet more moving parts. Slow pages lose visitors and rank lower.
| Feature | Typical WordPress site | Montra static conversion |
|---|---|---|
| What runs on a visit | PHP and a database query | A ready-made file |
| Admin login on the internet | Yes, at /wp-admin | None to attack |
| Things to keep patched | Core, theme, every plugin, PHP | The form function, which we maintain |
| Contact form spam | Form plugin plus a captcha plugin | Cloudflare Turnstile, checked on the server |
| Speed | Depends on hosting and caching | Served from a global edge network |
| Traffic spikes | Can slow or take the site down | Static files handle them easily |
| Hosting | A PHP server and a database | Static hosting, no database to pay for |
How the conversion works
Forms that keep working
Static doesn't mean your contact form stops working. Each submission is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which spots bots without making people pick out traffic lights. Our server-side function then confirms that check, validates the fields, and limits repeat submissions before anything reaches you.
No. We rebuild it page for page and check each one against the original before launch.
We keep every URL, page title and description, and set up redirects for anything that has to move, so search engines see the same site. Faster pages tend to help, not hurt.
Send us the change and we'll publish it.
Most business and brochure sites can. Shops, member areas and booking systems need more than static pages. We'll tell you upfront which parts can go static and which need a proper app.
The same approach works for most older PHP sites, whether custom-built or on another CMS.
We'll look over it and tell you what converting it involves, what it would cost, and anything that can't go static.
